Hi! I’m a third-year university maths student, so naturally I’m allergic to touching grass. I envision this blog containing both the sort of maths I’m interested in, and the non-maths stuff I like so you’ll be assured that I’m not (just) a theorem-proving automaton.
What I’ve recently listened to:
- Drones (2015), Muse
- Zbigniew Preisner’s choral music: “Kai Kairos” and “Labyrinthe Opéra Egyptien” to name two. I LOVE this guy’s music: he’s probably best known (to cinephiles) for working with the late film director Krzysztof Kieślowski.
Ancient Greek
27 June 2026It’s been more than three weeks since my intro post so here’s a mini life update: I’m learning Ancient Greek. Precisely, I got a copy of Athenaze Book I (the UK edition) a couple of months back but I’ve only started working through it right now.
New Blog
3 June 2026Here’s my third blog, this time in Hugo (third time’s the charm!). You can find my previous blog here.
My first blog – and my longest venture – was on Wordpress. Certainly easier to work with compared to fiddling with CSS code directly, but some news or another about the future of Wordpress’s ownership led to me insisting on using open source software for my blog: this way, I can have complete ownership over my own site. It’s also the reason I didn’t want to write on Substack, Medium or other similar platforms.
